Who We Are

Who We Are

Providence Fellowship Church is the result of the providential guidance, nudges, and grace of God.  Started by a group of families with a vision for the heart of San Antonio, the reason for Providence is simple: to be a church that harkens back to the original design of church.  Scripture tells us that church is meant to be simple: pursue relationship with Jesus, make disciples who transform the world, and love radically.

Providence Fellowship Church is a church that is committed to this original design, fueled by the gracious providence of Christ and the rich fellowship that we have with Him and each other.  Located in central San Antonio and aiming for our city’s flourishing, Providence exists to make disciples of Jesus who seek God, enjoy Him, and transform the world.

Leadership

Staying true to what is found in scriptures (1 Tim. 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-4, Acts 14:23), PFC will eventually be governed by an Elder Board.  Our “connection” to a larger body, that will provide counsel and correction, is to be determined so as to empower our eventual Pastor to fully participate in that decision.  Initially, we have gathered an Interim Leadership Team that is serving in a provisional oversight capacity until such time as a Pastor is ultimately called. This team is not serving in the official elder capacity that Providence will eventually invite elders into, but is praying, meeting consistently and discerning God’s call for His church.

The members of the Leadership Team are:

  • John Amini

  • John Brooks

  • Morris Camp

  • Brian Jansen

  • Bobby Mickler

  • Justin Yarborough
